Abstract. Bailly C. 2021. Anticancer mechanism of artonin E and related prenylated flavonoids from the medicinal plant Artocarpus elasticus. Asian J Nat Prod Biochem 19: 44-56. Plants genus are largely distributed throughout tropical Asia Oceania. Species such as A. altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg heterophyllus Lam. popular trees known breadfruit jackfruit, respectively. They contain a large structural diversity bioactive flavonoids. Here we have focused on less species elasticus Reinw. ex Blume which is well in southeast Asia, used traditional medicine to treat dysentery, tuberculosis, other diseases. Numerous been isolated leaves bark elasticus, artocarpesin, artocarpin, artelastin, many others. endowed with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer properties. A focus made subgroup compounds designated artonins, derivative lead agent. Art-E has revealed marked effects vitro vivo, after oral administration. The action discussed, highlight functional analogy between antitumor natural product morusin. Both trigger TRAIL-mediated apoptosis cancer cells. can be considered further for development novel agents.

The increasing rate of mortality ensued from breast cancer has encouraged research into safer and efficient therapy. The human Estrogen receptor α has been implicated in the majority of reported breast cancer cases. Molecular docking employing Glide, Schrodinger suite 2015, was used to study the binding affinities of small molecules from the Artocarpus species after their drug-like properties w...
متن کاملTwo New Prenylated Flavonoids From Paracalyx Scariosa
Two new prenylated flavonoids, named scariosin (1) and isorhynchospermin (2) were isolated from the leaves of paracalyx scariosa together with kaempferol, quercetin, kaempferol 3-O- rutinoside and rutin. The structures of (1) and (2) were characterized as 8-C- prenyl- taxifolin 7,3'-dimethylether and 6-C-prenylquercetin 7,4'-dimethylether by their chemical and spectra data, respectively.

Artonin E is a prenylated flavonoid compound isolated from the stem bark of Artocarpus elasticus. This phytochemical has been previously reported to be drug-like with full compliance to Lipinski's rule of five and good physicochemical properties when compared with 95% of orally available drugs. It has also been shown to possess unique medicinal properties that can be utilized in view of allevia...
